What Does Animal Re-Identification Learn? Linear Biological Concepts and Their Origins in Visual Representations
Conservation increasingly relies on camera traps that collect more wildlife imagery than experts can manually analyze, making animal re-identification (Re-ID) essential for monitoring individuals and populations.
