Quantum game theory is an extension of classical game theory that uses quantum principles in game theory. The Eisert-Wilkens-Lewenstein (EWL) quantum game is an early example of the two-player classical Prisoner's Dilemma transformed into a quantum Prisoner's Dilemma.
