Hyperspectral and multispectral image fusion (HMIF) aims to reconstruct a high-resolution hyperspectral image (HR-HSI) by combining the fine spatial details of a high-resolution multispectral image (HR-MSI) with the rich spectral information of a low-resolution hyperspectral image (LR-HSI).
